A hirsute old hippie who is trying to age disgracefully. This blog is purely an attempt to share the beauty of Cambrian ,particularly the seasons ,with all those wonderful people who sadly mostly only stay for a short visit. It lays no great claims for its photographic or literary content, only a desire to share.

Late summer
Greetings from a VERY wet Cambrian Sunday afternoon .I have never felt it so wet here overall ,I think that we have had our annual rainfall already .Not all bad though ,there has been spectacular growth on some trees ,which is a little compensation for the snow damage .The forest is starting to lighten up into it's autumn colours and you will see some Autumn crocuses in the photos .They are about a month early !.
I have had a couple of WWOOFers from France and in spite of the weather we got a lot of work done ,especially some cleaning of the race ,which is always good to get done .
Cambrian [the lad] is about half way through his Outward Bound course ,I imagine that there will have been a fair amount of rain up there .
Two lots of photos today ,one lot just of the fern glen ,the other just general.Another bonus has been the number of elderberrys this year ,the place is covered in them and I have already made 40 litres of wine ,now that IS good news .Cheers all .
