Autumn time again

As gorgeous as the yet unnamed granddaughter is ,it is time to post another blog ,and as sure as Tuesday comes after Monday ,autumn follows summer ,I think that it is natures way of gently letting us down into the privations of winter ,not that I mind them coming along ,in fact each season has SUCH a beautiful feeling ,I an so happy not to live on the equator !! Here are some autumn shots ,you won't see them again as the wind today has blown all the leaves to St Bathans and the forecast for tonight is for SNOW ...miss you all .....Bob

Evening all .I have just returned this afternoon from two lovely days in Dunedin with Manu/Cass and the new baby ,plus all the rest of the extended family ,it was a great experience and I so much enjoyed holding the 'little one' and absorbing her being, as it is obvious that I won't get to see her quite as much as the others by living this far away .However it was a special time and I came home very content .
Now I am NOT going to flood my blog with baby photos ,except tonight !!! tonight I am putting on two sets of baby pictures ,and that's your lot ,if you want any more ,write me and I will send them to you on your e-mail .
'Central is looking magnificent in its autumn clothes ,but I know that in a few short weeks it will look naked and cold ,so I am enjoying the colours . Cheers all ....Bob ....xxx

End of Easter

Evening all ....Well the Easter bunny didn't bring me a grandchild !!!! but it can't be far off . I have just had a marvelous w/e , the weather couldn't have been more perfect 20 odd degrees and not a breath of wind ,beautiful.The autumn colours are still in their early stages ,but some individual trees are just spectacular .I believe that it is the effect of the seasons that continuously reminds us that life is moving on and hence not to waste any time ! My two young Danish WWOOFers popped in today to see me as did Francis Reid [Lindsays daughter ],always nice to see people .
Now is my time for spreading the colchicums and burning the summer debris before the winter strikes .I hope that you all also had a pleasant Easter ,cast your eye

April fools day

No 'fools' today ,just a fantastic Autumn day for the end of daylight saving ,forced out of bed by 8 this morning by the sun streaming in my window ,a tough life .I've just had 5 days in Dunedin visiting the boys ,both doing well and Manu's partner about to make me a grandad !!
Even though it's very early autumn there's still some great colours about ,especially the sugar maples and the red oaks ,can't wait to see them in 10yrs time !!!
