A hirsute old hippie who is trying to age disgracefully. This blog is purely an attempt to share the beauty of Cambrian ,particularly the seasons ,with all those wonderful people who sadly mostly only stay for a short visit. It lays no great claims for its photographic or literary content, only a desire to share.

The day the horses came to town
What an amazing day that I have had today .Firstly the phone goes and it's the local contractor wanting to know if I want a track cut ,well I DID so The two WWOOFers and I tear out to pull up all the loose wires in preparation ,that gets us to mid-day.Then the Otago Cavalcade ,70 odd horses and their odd riders come to town to have lunch at the school ,that made for a very colourful scene .The contractor then arrived with his MASSIVE tractor and cut a track in 30minutes that would have taken me 30 days ! finally just as I got back home I had a marvellous visit by two of Cams friend from New Plymouth .
All in all not bad for a quiet little country road in the backblocks of Central Otago !!
